How do I register my team?
-
- The team organiser needs to complete the initial team registration through the play HQ registration link
- The team organiser will then receive a unique play HQ registration for their specific team which they can send to their players to then register into that team
- Once all players have completed this registration, your team is set to go for the carnival
What do I need to bring?
Please bring your own kit, hat, water bottle, and a packed lunch (please do not pack anything containing nuts). A team sunshade/shelter is recommended but not required
Do I need to do anything when my child arrives/leaves the carnival each day?
Yes, please head to the CNSW marquee when you arrive as you will need to sign them in at the marquee and sign them out each afternoon
Can I play with my sibling or friend in a different stage?
This can sometimes be a possibility, but each individual situation will be assessed based on team numbers/age difference etc. Each situation may have a different outcome
What can my team do if they have a bye round?
If there are an uneven number of teams the team with the bye can participate in a fielding session ran by one of our CNSW cricket program coordinators.
When will the fixture be released for my carnival?
The fixture is usually released within the upcoming days to the carnival; at the latest it will be released by COB the day before the carnival
How is the ladder calculated?
The ladder will be calculated by points average. Points average calculates the average points gained by a team across all matches played. In the event that the points average is even, net run rate will be used as a secondary calculation.
What happens if it rains and the carnival is cancelled?
If the carnival does not go ahead entirely, CNSW will provide you with a full refund.
If the carnival starts but cannot be completed, the refund amount is based on the competition percentage:
- Less than 1.5 games completed: Full refund
- Between 1.5 to 3 games completed: 50% refund
- Between 3 to 4.5 games completed: 25% refund
- 4.5 or more games completed: No refund
Why is a turf wicket carnival more expensive than a synthetic wicket carnival?
Due to the extra costs involved in the preparation of a turf wicket, a turf carnival costs more to run so are therefore slightly more expensive to participant in.
