The NSW Blues have claimed a 33-run win over South Australia in their Marsh One-Day Cup match at Adelaide Oval.
Blues beat Redbacks in Limited-Overs clash
In his 98th List-A appearance, captain Moises Henriques delivered the fastest century in the limited-overs competition for a NSW player to date, reaching the milestone in just 71 deliveries and finishing his explosive innings unbeaten on 103*.
During Henriques’ record-breaking innings, he notched his fourth limited-overs triple-figure score for NSW and in doing so became the first Blues player to surpass the 3000-run milestone in List-A matches. A tally that now sits at 3049 runs.
Emerging pace-bowler Will Salzmann struck early in the Blues’ run-chase defence, taking two crucial top-order wickets in just his second List-A outing.
Later in the match, returning speedster Liam Hatcher claimed a thrilling hat-trick to derail the South Australian run-chase, with Salzmann returning to grab the last Redbacks pole and deliver the Blues their second win of the Marsh One-Day Cup campaign.
Hatcher's hat-trick was the third in a List-A match for NSW after Nathan Bracken versus Victoria in 2001/02 and Doug Bollinger versus South Australia in 2004/05.
