RIP Kathleen McCredie: 1928-2026

Cricket NSW is saddened by the passing of former NSW representative Kathleen McCredie, who passed away on Tuesday aged 98.

Born in 1928, McCredie made her NSW debut on March 20th, 1950, playing Queensland in Adelaide to become the state's 68th women's representative. She played three matches for NSW, scoring seven runs and taking two wickets, while during her university days she also played tennis and hockey. 

McCredie would later serve as headmistress of SCEGGS Wollongong, from 1955 to 1970, and of Abbotsleigh from 1970-1987. She was the first Abbotsleigh Old Girl to return as Headmistress, receiving Queen’s Birthday Honours in 1984 for services to Education. 

Cricket NSW extends its condolences to Kathleen's family and friends at this difficult time.
