Cricket NSW has named a 12-player Under 19 Men’s squad to face Victoria in a three-day fixture in Frankston this week.
The group includes Australian Under 19 World Cup representatives Kasey Barton, Naden Cooray, John James, Nitesh Samuels, Alex Lee-Young and Will Byrom.
Selections were based on a range of performances, including the recent under 17 and under 19 National Championships.
For several players, it will be their first opportunity to represent NSW at underage level, given they compete at the National Championships as NSW Country and NSW Metro. The match marks the third consecutive year the two states have met in this format, delivered in collaboration with Cricket Victoria as part of an ongoing commitment to red-ball development, which has included the re-establishment of under 23 fixtures this summer
