With defending champions St George and last year’s runners-up Fairfield-Liverpool both bowing out, the door is wide open for new contenders to rise.

The Semi Finals will be played on Sunday, 19 October, with the winners advancing to the Final on Sunday, 26 October.

Randwick Petersham v Manly Warringah at Coogee Oval

The home side Randwick Petersham have been the standout performers of the tournament so far, topping Pool A with four straight wins - the only undefeated team left in the competition. Their campaign began with a statement 107-run demolition of Hawkesbury, and they haven’t looked back since.

All-rounder Jack Wood has been a class above with the bat, sitting fifth on the overall run-scorers list with 197 runs at an average of 98.5. With the ball, Riley Ayre and Daya Singh have led the way, combining control and consistency to keep oppositions under pressure.

Their opponents, Manly Warringah, have shown grit and balance throughout their campaign. Despite finishing second in Pool D, the Waratahs hit form at the right time, knocking over Sydney University to book their semi-final berth.

They’ll be without leading run-scorer Ollie Davies (173 runs at 57.67) who’s away on NSW Blues duty, but in-form quick Julian Osborne - second on the competition’s wicket-taking tally with 11, looms as a key weapon.

With Coogee Oval set to be buzzing, expect a fierce contest between a polished home side and a fearless Manly outfit looking to spoil the party.

Western Suburbs v Bankstown at Pratten Park

In the day’s other semi-final, Western Suburbs will host Bankstown at Pratten Park in what promises to be another blockbuster encounter.

Wests have been one of the competition’s most entertaining sides, topping Pool C with three wins and one narrow loss. Their viral sensation, Harjas Singh, fresh from NSW Second XI selection and a stint in Adelaide, returns to strengthen a side already brimming with momentum.

Pace bowler Tom Brooks has been outstanding with the ball, leading the tournament in wickets (11).

Bankstown, meanwhile, have shown resilience and depth on their path to the semis.

Topping Pool D with three wins, the Bulldogs advanced after a DLS victory over Northern District. Their attack is spearheaded by Mitchell Constantinou and Bradley Simpson, both inside the top ten wicket-takers this season, a threat that could test Wests’ strong top order.

Both semi-finals will be streamed live and free on the Cricket NSW YouTube channel.
