Lend Lease Breakers players Alex Blackwell, Rachael Haynes, Ellyse Perry, Sarah Coyte and Erin Osborne have been named in the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars squad for the Test and One Day International legs of the 2014 Women’s Ashes Series.
This Ashes Series will follow the same format used during the recent English summer with the Tests, One Day Internationals and T20 matches all contributing points towards deciding the overall winner of the series. The Test will be worth six points, with the remaining games two points each.
The Test will start in Perth on January 10 with the One Day Internationals in Melbourne (January 17, 19 and 23). The T20 matches will be played as double headers with the men’s games (January 29, 31, February 2), with the last match of the series at Stadium Australia on February 2.
Alyssa Healy and Angela Reakes have both been selected in the Australian Youth team which will play a Two Day warm up match against the English in Perth starting on January 6, with Healy named captain of the side.
