David Misson joins Cricket NSW

Cricket NSW is delighted to welcome renowned high performance leader David Misson back to the sport in the role of Performance Director.

Misson, who begins in the role today, will be responsible for driving a world-class high performance culture across Cricket NSW’s elite teams, pathways, sports science and sports medicine and technology and data functions.

He will work closely with key cricket program leaders to ensure Cricket NSW is producing successful, respected and inspirational players and teams. This includes close collaboration with Premier Cricket.

Misson’s return to cricket comes over 25 years after he toured with the Australian men’s cricket team as Physical Performance Manager from 1998-2000.

Since then, he has held senior roles with the Sydney Swans, Sydney Roosters, Melbourne Football Club and the St Kilda Football Club, most recently as Executive General Manager Football.

Greg Mail, Cricket NSW’s Chief Cricket Performance Officer, said:

“It is a real coup to welcome a leader of David’s calibre back to Cricket NSW, to strengthen the connection and collaboration across our high performance system.

“David’s extensive experience across multiple sports will prove an invaluable asset as we strive for continued excellence across our elite teams, pathways programs and critical support functions."
