On a scorching day Northern District won the toss and elected to bat. They posted a competitive total of 183, with Kirby Mulligan leading the charge with a quick 44 off 37 balls. Arjun Singh provided crucial support, compiling a patient 37 off 89, as the pair added 66 for the fourth wicket to keep Northern District in contention.
