Cricket NSW will be represented by four squads at the 2026 National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC), to be held in Perth from January 12-16.
The squads span Blind and Low Vision Mixed, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Men’s, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Women’s, and Cricketers with an Intellectual Disability (ID), reflecting Cricket NSW’s continued commitment to inclusive participation at the highest domestic level. All teams are proudly supported by the Cricket NSW Foundation, the charitable arm of Cricket NSW.
The NCIC brings together the nation’s leading cricketers with a disability, competing across four divisions: Blind and Low Vision Mixed, Cricketers with an Intellectual Disability, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Men’s, and Deaf and Hard of Hearing Women’s.
Established in 2017, the championships provide a pinnacle domestic pathway for players and have grown into one of Cricket Australia’s largest annual events. More than 300 players from around the country will take part across the five-day tournament.
NSW’s Blind and Low Vision team enters the 2026 championships with a dominant record, having claimed the title in each of the past six editions. The squad again features some of Australia’s leading low vision cricketers, including Oscar Stubbs and Steffan Nero, alongside long‑standing captain Lindsay Heaven. Courtney Lewis also returns to the squad after competing in the women’s division last year.
Cricket NSW Foundation Fundraising Coordinator Elizabeth Williams said the organisation was proud to support the teams as they prepare for the national stage.
“The Cricket NSW Foundation is proud to continue supporting our NSW players as they compete at the National Cricket Inclusion Championships,” Williams said.
“Our Inclusion teams show extraordinary commitment and passion for the game, representing their state with pride at the highest level of competition. We are fortunate to have outstanding athletes and ambassadors across all squads, helping to lead the way in making cricket more accessible and inclusive.
“This year, the Foundation has also championed all‑abilities programs in schools and clubs, supporting the development of the next generation of NSW cricketers. We’re excited to see our teams take the field in Perth and will be cheering them on throughout the championships.”
