The Country Youth Championships will bring NSW’s top junior cricketers to four regional communities for four days of competitive cricket, with tournaments set to be hosted in Armidale, Dubbo, Port Macquarie, Kempsey, and Armidale.
Country Youth Championships Set for Regional NSW
Across the carnival, teams from across NSW will compete in three one-day matches and two T20 fixtures, providing players with invaluable exposure to a high-performance environment. The Championships serve as a crucial pathway event, giving the best junior zone players the chance to test themselves against top opposition ahead of selection for the NSW State Challenge.
Chair of Country Cricket, Paul Marjoribanks, said the Championships continue to play a critical role in developing young regional talent.
“The Championships are a vital part of our player pathway, giving young country cricketers the chance to test themselves in a high-performance environment. We consistently see players take major steps forward at this event, and it’s exciting to watch the next generation of talent emerge.”
