UTS North Sydney clinched the 2023/24 Poidevin-Gray Shield title with a commanding 7-wicket victory over Northern District at Allan Border Park, Mosman, on Sunday.

Having won the toss and elected to bat first, Northern District started strongly with knocks of 51, 38 and 37 from Cameron Tunks, Lachlan Shaw and Mitchell Crayn respectively.
However, they fell from 3-147 to 196 all out as Player of the Final Harry Gardner ripped through the middle and lower order on his way to figures of 6-26 from his nine overs.
In reply, Ollie Sykes set the tone with a 42-ball 60 before Jordan Netto kicked on with an unbeaten 66, Addison Sherriff (32*) and James Moore (20) providing valuable contributions as the Bears secured the title within 37.3 overs.
