Blues squad for WACA One Day fixture

Moises Henriques will skipper the team in his 100th domestic one day fixture, the first player to reach a century of matches for the Blues.

Coincidently, Henriques played his 100th Sheffield Shield match for NSW against Western Australia earlier this summer.

Prodigious leg-spinner Tanveer Sangha returns to the squad after missing the first half of the summer while on international duty as a travelling reserve for Australia’s triumphant World Cup squad, while all-rounder Joel Davies is in line to make his senior debut for NSW.

Cricket NSW Chief of Cricket Performance said the match would be a significant one for the Blues, considering the magnitude of Henriques’ milestone.

“Moises has been a stalwart of NSW cricket and the Blues for well over a decade and to become the first Blues player to feature in 100 domestic one day matches will be an historic moment for the state,” Mail said.

“We saw in the BBL that he is still playing as well as ever and congratulate him on the achievement.

“This match also sees the return of Tanveer Sangha after international duties and we are looking forward to welcoming him back into the squad as he continues to develop into a world class spinner.”

The Blues are 3-2 in their One-Day Cup campaign this summer, sitting in third place on the ladder behind Victoria and Western Australia, who have both won four of their five matches.

In their last One-Day Cup match before the BBL break, NSW defeated Western Australia by two wickets at Cricket Central.

The match begins at 2.05pm (Sydney time) and will be broadcast live on cricket.com.au, Foxtel and Kayo.
