North Sydney Oval will be the stage for the first International match of the 2018/19 season when the Australian Women’s Cricket team take on New Zealand in a Twenty20 match at the picturesque ground next month.

Tickets on sale for the Women’s Commonwealth Bank International season were launched on Wednesday at North Sydney Oval with star allrounders for Australia, the Breakers and Sydney Sixers, Ellyse Perry and Ash Gardner.

Perry and Gardner will seek to continue their fantastic record at North Sydney Oval during the September 29 fixture.

Perry made 213 not out at the ground last season in the day-night Test match against England during the Women’s Ashes series. It was the highest score by an Australian in Women’s Test cricket.

Gardner also has fond memories of North Sydney Oval posting the fastest ever WBBL century last December with an incredible knock of 114 from 52 balls.

The fixture will be the first in a series of three Twenty20 matches between Australia and their Trans-Tasman rivals.

The two sides will also compete in a three-match One Day International series in February and March.

New broadcaster the Seven network will cover the match after the AFL Grand Final, and the game will also be shown live on Fox Sports new dedicated cricket channel, FOX Cricket.

To coincide with tickets going on sale for the T20 International series on Wednesday, Cricket Australia also released its new marketing campaign #WATCHME on Wednesday.

The campaign is a celebration of the incredible feats of the Australian Women’s Cricket Team and a rallying cry for all of Australia to get behind their team and celebrate the team’s performances on the field and the hard work it takes to be the best in the world.

Tickets for the match can be purchased at and prices range from $15 for adults, $10 for concession and free admission for children.
