First ball – A good weekend for the bowlers! Overcast weather delivered a gift for those with the ball, as wickets fell at regular intervals. Declan White led the way for UNSW with figures of 6-44, while St George’s Jonathon Craig Dobson took 6-45.

Second ball – Cool, calm, and collected from Preddey! Requiring five off the final over for victory, Jack Preddey guided Eastern Suburbs to a win over UNSW with two balls to spare. Unfortunately for Preddey, it left him on 98 not out, and still century-less in 82 innings.

Third ball – Umpiring milestone! Congratulations to Andrew Hamilton who umpired his 200th NSW Premier Cricket Men's First Grade match at Hurstville Oval on Saturday. Hamilton is just the tenth umpire to reach the milestone!

Fourth ball – 5,000 for Avendano! He already has 294 runs to his name this season, including a high score of 171, now UTS North Sydney’s Justin Avendano can say he’s passed 5000 first grade career runs. For the record, he’s hit 17 sixes thus far this season.

Fifth ball – From Sydney University to the Blues! Just a week ago, Hayden Kerr was opening the batting for Uni against Blacktown in the Kingsgrove Sports Twenty20 Cup. Fast forward a week and the 25-year-old was leading the way for New South Wales with an unbeaten 62 on debut in their Marsh Sheffield Shield clash with Victoria at the SCG.

Final ball – Rain! rain! And more rain! An action-packed weekend of cricket was cut short as mother nature delivered conditions more suited for ducks then cricketers.
