The third and final round of applications for grants from the NSW ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Cricket Legacy Fund are now open.

Cricket clubs and councils across NSW are set to capitalise on the success of Australia’s recent Women’s T20 World Cup victory with applications now open for the final round of the NSW ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Cricket Legacy Fund.

The Fund is committed to delivering up to $6 million over three years to:

- support the development of community cricket infrastructure

- improve female pathways, programs and resources

- enable the hosting events across regional New South Wales

Round 3 follows hugely successful rounds in 2018 and 2019. To date, more than $4 million has already been distributed to 133 projects, assisting local clubs, associations and councils.

Cricket NSW Chief Executive Lee Germon said the ICC T20 World Cup Cricket Legacy Fund is a wonderful initiative by the NSW Government to enhance cricket’s standing as Australia’s favourite sport.

“Over the past two years, we’ve seen our cricketing communities benefit from $4 million in grant funding towards facility development, regional events and growing cricket for women and girls,” Mr Germon said.

“As our game continues to grow this final round of funding will, as the previous two rounds have, leave a significant and lasting legacy for cricket in NSW. I encourage you all to consider applying to this final round.”

Applications are open now and will be closing 24 August 2020.
