Playing cricket in New South Wales will become even more fun in season 2022-23 as Cricket NSW join Cricket Australia in launching the latest sport experience software from PlayHQ.
PlayHQ is a leading sport software platform that has been implemented by AFL, Netball and Basketball across Australia and looks to offer the best player, competition and administrator experience.
The move to the new technology – that will be launched on July 1, 2022 - is another important step as CNSW continues to strive to be a world class organization.
The PlayHQ platform has been successfully trialled across competitions in Darwin and Queensland, with players, clubs and volunteers finding PlayHQ registration less time consuming while the new electronic scoring product will be available on smart phones, tablets, and laptops.
Cricket NSW General Manager – Community Cricket Experience, Joanne Scanlon, said the new platform brought with it many efficiencies.
“The new platform is a game-changer for our volunteer administrators and clubs, and that in turn will enhance the experience for players,” Scanlon said.
“The transition to PlayHQ is part of a new era in which Cricket Australia and the States will provide improved digital experiences.
“We want to continue to create digital tools that make playing and volunteering easier and more rewarding.
“We want to create digital tools for players and coaches that improve their playing and training experiences. That might be reviewing video of a training session, creating a highlights package for social media or compiling and sharing statistics.”
NSW clubs and administrators will be amongst some of the first across the country to use the modern and intuitive PlayHQ platform that is designed to make volunteering easier and save precious administration time.
Early adoption of PlayHQ will position NSW volunteers as leaders in the future development of the platform whilst allowing clubs and administrators increased access to resourcing and support that will be made available by Cricket Australia and PlayHQ.
Cricket Australia has begun to deliver online webinars as part of their national PlayHQ training calendar. This will see over 100 online sessions delivered across May to October. To compliment the national training schedule, CNSW are delivering a number of ‘in person’ sessions across the state.
