The Coffs Coast Chargers have won through to the Plan B Regional Bash finals day in December after finishing on top of the Port Macquarie Pool.

The Chargers won all three of their matches on the first weekend of the T20 tournament.

Coffs Coast defeated Northern Inland Bolters by 15 runs on Saturday and followed that win with successive victories against Macquarie Coast Stingers and Northern Rivers Rock on Sunday.

They defeated the Stingers by 11 runs and then overcame the Rock by four wickets.

Bolters’ batsman Lachlan Cameron ensured his team finished on a high note with 64 from 24 balls in their win over the Stingers on Sunday.

In concert with Ben Middlebrook (50 not out from 27 balls), the pair helped the Bolters chase down 204 for victory.

Wicketkeeper, batsman Tom Groth (52) also made fifty for the Bolters in their loss to the Chargers.

Ben McMahon, Luke Cox and Bonville Golf Resort professional Richie Gallichan, all made valuable contributions for the Chargers across the weekend.

Gallichan claimed impressive figures of 3-19, with his off-spin, in the win over the Stingers, and his efforts were equalled by McMahon, who claimed 3-24 in that victory at Oxley Oval.

Cox fell just two runs short of a valuable half-century against the Stingers.

In other matches, the Rock won a tight encounter against the Stingers by three wickets and went down to the Bolters by 20 runs.

In the Newcastle Pool, Central Coast Rush against Hunter Hitmen was abandoned due to rain.

In December the winners of the Port Macquarie and Newcastle Pools will compete for the Sixers Conference Title while Bathurst and Wagga Wagga Pool winners play off for the Thunder Conference Title.

The two Conference winners then play off to be crowned Plan B Regional Bash Champions.
