Dubbo official John De Lyall has been promoted to the 12-member NSW Country Umpire Representative Panel for the 2019/20 season.

De Lyall replaces James Figallo who has committed to umpiring in the NSW Premier Cricket competition during the upcoming season.

The other members of the panel are Bruce Baxter, Ken Brooks, Gary Crombie, David Cullen, Graeme Glazebrook, Tony Hackett, Anthony Hobson, Ross McKim, John Pearce, Neil Smith and David Went.

Members of the panel umpire in Country Cricket NSW representative programs, underage State Challenges and the Plan B Regional T20 Bash. They are also invited to officiate first grade matches in NSW Premier Cricket.

Executive Officer of the NSW Cricket Umpires’ and Scorers’ Association, and State Umpire Manager, Darren Goodger congratulated De Lyall on his elevation.

“John is a highly respected person and umpire,” said Goodger.

“A great team person who is recognised for his consistent decision-making, excellent knowledge and application of laws and playing conditions, his ability to manage a cricket match with common sense, strength and integrity.

“John has been umpiring in the country representative pathway for at least 10 years. He thoroughly deserves (this) opportunity.”

Neil Findlay has also been appointed as the NSW Country Umpire Coach for 2019/20 by the NSWCUSA Board of Directors.

Findlay, who is a member of the Cricket Australia Supplementary Match Referee Panel, will drive the performance feedback process working closely with the umpires on the Country Panel to assist with their development.
