Statement from Cricket NSW CEO Lee Germon
Dear Cricket Community,
The evolving COVID-19 situation has continued to create challenges for communities across NSW over the Christmas period and now into the new year.
Whilst stay-at-home orders remain in place in certain jurisdictions and new directives have been introduced particularly in indoor settings, the requirements relevant to community sports organisations have remained relatively unchanged since our last update on 18 December 2020.
Cricket NSW recommends that Associations and Leagues across NSW continue to make their own decisions at a local level about playing cricket, in accordance with the latest policies and advice from the NSW Government and NSW Health.
Clubs and Associations are encouraged to periodically review their COVID Safety Plans, training activities and match-day operations.
Those organisations that have an ABN may wish to register as a COVID Safe organisation at https://www.nsw.gov.au/register-your-business-as-covid-safe. Registration will automatically grant the organisation a unique QR code which connects directly to the COVID Safe Check-in functionality of the Service NSW App.
Please continue to visit www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19 and https://cricketnsw.com.au/support/club-support/covid-19 for the very latest information.
