The postponed NSW Breakers match against the ACT Meteors has been rescheduled to Tuesday 14 January at Hurstville Oval.
The match was due to be played on Monday but bushfires prevented Meteors players travelling to Sydney last Sunday.
The Breakers’ next match is now against the Queensland Fire on Thursday from 10am at Hurstville Oval as the Women’s National Cricket League resumes following two early season matches in September.
The Breakers have included captain Alyssa Healy, vice-captain Rachael Haynes and off-spinning allrounders Ash Gardner and Erin Burns in a 14-player squad.
International players were unavailable for the early rounds, with the reigning champions currently fifth following a win and a loss. The Meteors are second having won both their matches while the Fire are third following a bonus point victory and a loss.
Burns will play her first game for the Breakers after previously representing Tasmania and the Meteors then debuting for Australia in the West Indies during September.
The squad also includes potential debutant Stella Campbell, 17. The seam bowler played 13 matches for the Sydney Sixers in her first season of Women’s Big Bash.
