school programs

One of Cricket NSW's core objectives is to ensure that Australia's favourite sport has an impact at all levels of education.

Cricket NSW is committed to working in conjunction with teachers to help promote a healthy, active lifestyle amongst school-aged children through cricket. In addition, we aim to help up-skill teachers so they can carry on the development in their schools.

Cricket Blast HPE Program

The program is designed to link closely with the current syllabus outcomes. Content includes development of fundamental skills associated with cricket while also covering gross motor and movement skills. The program complements existing Health and Physical Education programs and runs for a minimum of four weeks.

Cricket Blast Schools Cup

Boys and girls from Years Three to Six have the opportunity to experience cricket in a fun, safe and learning environment. The Year Three and Four events are focused on participation while the Year Five and Six divisions offer both competitive and non-competitive opportunities. The senior competitive division teams who win their local Final are invited to attend a regional final. Regional winners then progress to compete at the State Final, held in October each year.
