The Cricket NSW and NSW / ACT AFL joint Multicultural Carnival, which was to be held on Saturday 21 April at Bankstown Oval to promote cricket amongst children from a Multicultural background, has been cancelled due to wet weather.
NSW SpeedBlitz Blues batsman Phillip Hughes and Lend Lease Breakers star Lisa Sthalekar, were set to be on hand, to promote an initiative aimed at engaging Primary School children in the fun that can be had by playing Cricket and AFL. Fun Cricket and AFL activities, Face Painting, Animal Expo and a BBQ, were planned for the day, in an attempt to promote Cricket, and reinforce Cricket NSW’s strong commitment to Cultural Diversity, throughout the State.
The carnival is to be rescheduled to a later date.
