Club: Newcastle (Moving to Sydney to play with Northern Districts)

Playing Profile: Second year scholar. Tall right-handed quick (Jeff Thompson like action) from Maitland in Central North NSW although last season played in the stronger competition of Newcastle. Taylor represented NSW in the Australian U/17 National Championship held in Adelaide January 2010 and NSW 19s at the Australian U/19 National Championship held in Brisbane 2010. Unfortunately he was injured during the championship and we did not see this best from him although acknowledged his raw speed.

Cricket Australia acknowledged his ability with selection in the Australian U/18 talent squad for a second year running and was rewarded with selection in the Australian U/19s squad that toured DUBAI in a three week series against the West Indies, in April 2011. Taylor’s hard work holds him in strong contention to be part of the Australian U/19s world cup squad that will play in U/19s ICC World Cup to held in Northern Australia in June/July 2012.
