Sydney Cricket Association Women's Competition
 |
| Action from the 07/08 First Grade Final |
Welcome to the official home of the SCA Women's Competition 2008/09 Season
The Sydney Cricket Association Women's Competition is the premier competition for Women within NSW. Seven members of the Australian "Southern Stars" squad and all 14 members of the champion NSW Wolf Blass Breakers play for clubs in the competition. So too do several internationals from England and New Zealand.
The competition includes an Under 17 division (the Brewer Shield) and three open age Grades. The Brewer Sheld is the perfect introduction to Grade Cricket for girls playing in underage boys and/or girls competitions, whilst the three open age grades means that people of all ability levels can find a competition that suits them.
All matches are played in a one day limited over format - 40 overs per side for Brewer Shield and Third Grade, and 50 overs per side for First and Second Grade. The Third Grade competition is played on Saturday afternoons, whilst First Grade, Second Grade, and Brewer Shield are played on Sundays on turf wickets.
The competition has 10 clubs which cover the Sydney metropolitan area.
If you're interested in playing Women's Grade Cricket please use the links on the right hand side to find more details about the clubs. Alternatively go to www.playcricket.com to find a club near you.
