Gordon has taken out the McDonald's Women's NSW Premier Cricket competition with a convincing eight-wicket win over Sydney Rangers at Blacktown International Sports Park.

Set 169 to win, Gordon was never in any real danger of losing the contest with a collective approach by Captain Hannah Trollip (52) and Saskia Horley (62 not out) guiding it to victory.

Charlotte Anneveld played a nice cameo at the end of the innings, producing 39 not out from just 24 balls in an innings that included seven boundaries.

However, despite the performance of its batters, Gordon must be lauded for its bowling and fielding effort that restricted the star studded Sydney Rangers outfit to 168.

Some economical and smart bowling had the Rangers behind the eight-ball for most of its innings, even despite Sydney Sixers wicket-keeper Alyssa Healy's 50 off 45 balls.

Sixers team mate and Gordon off-spinner Lisa Sthalekar was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2-36 from eight overs.

An early breakthrough for the Rangers gave it a glimmer of hope, however that was snuffed out by a brilliant second-wicket partnership of 108 between Trollip and Horley.

Annelveld's cameo knock at the end ensured Gordon won with 18 balls remaining.

It caps off an impressive season for the Gordon girls, who earlier took out the First and Second Grade T20 competition to complete a rare double.
