Ryan Gibson has rescued NSW on day one of the Futures League match against South Australia, with the Penrith batsman helping his team to 260 on day one of the match at Glenelg.
Gibson (80) saw early wickets fall around him with NSW slumping to 3-31 before he put on a 109-run stand with debutant Jordan Gauci (38).
He spent almost four hours in the middle and faced 167 deliveries in an innings that included 10 boundaries.
Jay Lenton (30) and Ben Dwarshuis (31no) also chipped in valuable runs before the Blues were all out for 260 in 81.5 overs.
