Gordon, Sydney University, Parramatta and Bankstown are Semi-Finalists in the McDonald's NSW Premier Cricket competition after inclement weather prevented any play in two of the three finals last weekend.

In the only match that wasn't rained out, Gordon defeated Sydney by 88-runs. As no play was possible on day one, Sydney was essentially knocked out of the game with Gordon compiling 198 in 82.4 overs. There was even contributors throughout the innings with opening batsman Cameron Eccles (42) and Captain Steve Colley (27). The lower order also helped out with Daniel Smith (24 not out) and James Kennedy (28) pushing the hosts up to 198 all out.

Sydney's Ben Manenti was fantastic with the ball, collecting 6-57 from a mammoth 37.4 overs.

With 17 overs remaining, Sydney had no choice but to throw the bat at the ball.

They were dismissed in 13 overs for 110 despite Harry Dalton (29 off 14 balls) and Alex Glendenning (26 from 19 balls) taking the attack to the Gordon bowlers.

Matthew Junk 4-29 and Elliot Richtor 3-29 were the stars with the ball for Gordon who romped home to an 88-run victory.

Gordon will take on Bankstown at Chatswood Oval next weekend in the Semi-Final's after its match with Parramatta was abandoned due to rain. Bankstown go through as a result of its higher position on the ladder.

The other match between Sydney University and Penrith was also abandoned with Sydney University, as Minor Premiers, progressing to the Semi-Final.

The students take on Parramatta next weekend at Sydney University Oval in the other Semi-Final.

In Second Grade action:

Sixth-placed Gordon defeated Minor Premiers Sydney by five-wickets at Drummoyne Oval. This sets up a Semi-Final clash with Northern District at Mark Taylor Oval next weekend.

UNSW and Manly-Warringah had a draw after rain interrupted the match with UNSW 6-60 in reply to Manly-Warringah's 8-106 declared. The result means the end of the season for Manly-Warringah while UNSW battle Sydney at David Phillips Oval next weekend.
