The NSW Government has opened applications for their $4.5 million Local Sport Grant Program, which is available to local sporting organisations and clubs throughout the state.

Local sporting organisations and clubs can apply for grants up to $20,000 for projects that promote Sport Development, Community Sport Events, Sport Access and Facility Development.

A total of $50,000 has been allocated for successful projects within each NSW electorate.

Multiple cricket clubs benefited from this programme last season across a range of areas including the purchase of equipment and upgrade of nets and change rooms.

Local Sport Grant Program details:

•$50,000 has been allocated for successful projects within each NSW electorate

•Each applicant must identify the electorate where the project will occur

The maximum amounts available are:

•Sport Development - $2,000

•Community Sport Events - $5,000

•Sport Access - $5,000

•Facility Development - $20,000.

In addition, applications to the 2017-18 Cricket NSW and McDonald’s Facility Grants Program close this Wednesday 6 September.  Those wishing to apply should also consider securing additional funds through the Local Sport Grant Program to strengthen their application.
