NSW SpeedBlitz Blues’ quick Mitchell Starc continued his excellent form in English county cricket by claiming 2-21 from four overs in Yorkshire’s 19 run win over Lancashire in the Friends Life T20 competition (June 29).

Batting first, Yorkshire made 6-180 from their 20 overs with former NSW and Australian opener, Phil Jaques, hitting 40 off 28 deliveries.

Starc struck early in Lancashire’s innings, removing opener Stephen Moore for two. He then returned to take the wicket of their top scorer, Steven Croft, for 56 in the last over of the match.

Starc is currently the leading bowler in in the Friends Life T20, taking 15 wickets in seven matches at an outstanding average of just 9.73, with an economy rate of 5.87.
