Lend Lease Breaker allrounder Sarah Aley with kids from the Charlton Christian College
Charlton Christian College teacher, Peter Lalor, has been named the Newcastle in2CRICKET Coordinator of the Year for his work in establishing a Centre for over 50 kids.
Recognising Peter’s dedication and commitment to engaging the children and delivering a high quality in2CRICKET Program, the award was presented last Thursday at the end of the 10 week program.
Former NSW and Australian leg-spinner, Bob Holland, who is the President of the local cricket club, Southern Lakes Juniors, was at the session where he invited all of the kids to get involved in junior cricket next summer.
Southern Lakes have been fantastic supporters of the Charlton Christian College in2CRICKET Centre with both working in partnership to grow participation numbers in the area.
Lend Lease Breakers allrounder, Sarah Aley, also spent time with the kids. She helped out with some of the games before speaking to the children about how she went from playing backyard cricket with her brothers as a youngster to winning six WNCL titles with the Lend Lease Breakers.
