New South Wales players shine in Quad Series

New South Wales players have shone during the U19 Quad Series between Australia, England, India and New Zealand in Townsville.

In their opening match, which ended in a three wicket defeat against England, Gurinder Sandhu picked up 2-32 from his ten overs, as Australia went down in a tight contest.

Match two on Saturday, saw Australia defeat India by 4 wickets after chasing down 260 in the final over. NSW SpeedBlitz Blues batsman Kurtis Patterson, was the star, scoring 99 in the chase, after Gurinder Sandhu had picked up 3-40 from his ten overs.

Yesterday’s easy six wicket win over New Zealand, saw a return to action for NSW SpeedBlitz Blues and Australian pace bowler Pat Cummins. Cummins took 6-0-24-2 as New Zealand were bowled out for 146, before Australia reached the target easily in the 36th over for the loss of only four wickets.
