Hawkesbury batsman Jordan Gauci will make his Futures League debut for NSW after impressing selectors in NSW Premier Cricket and the U/19 National Championships.

Gauci comes into this week’s match after hitting back to back scores of 82 in the McDonald’s NSW Premier Cricket Limited Overs competition.

The 18-year-old batsman’s last knock almost got his side over the line in their narrow defeat against Penrith in the competition Final.

Gauci had an impressive U/19 National Championships in December, hitting 299 runs at an average of 59.8 including a top score of 97 in the competition Final as NSW Metropolitan defeated Victorian Country.

He was a member of Australian Under 19 team which toured the UK in 2015, and is a current Basil Sellars Scholar.
