Lendlease Breakers and Australian Women’s Cricket Team all-rounder Ellyse Perry has claimed the top all-rounder ranking after Australia’s 59 run win against South Africa at the ICC Women’s World Cup on Saturday, 15 July.

Official MRF Tyres ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings released after the match showed Perry overtaking West Indies and Sydney Thunder all-rounder Stefanie Taylor to become the top ranked all-rounder – a position which she has previously held twice.

Perry, who is currently sitting in second place in the tournament batting rankings with 366 runs, has also climbed the batting rankings by three places and now holds the third spot behind Australian Women’s Cricket Team captain Meg Lanning (1) and India’s Mithali Raj (2).

Fellow Lendlease Breaker and Australian Women’s Cricket Team teammates Alyssa Healy also climbed the batting rankings by 13 places to claim the 43rd spot in the batting rankings, with Alex Blackwell sitting 8th.

In her Player of the Match performance on Saturday Perry took two wickets (2-47) and made another half century with the bat (55) in a win which takes Australia to second place in the tournament standings, only one point behind hosts England on run-rate, and sets up a semi-final clash with India in Derby on Thursday, 20 July.
