Thailand Development Officer for Asian Cricket Council Shan Kader and Cricket NSW Riverina Development Manager Robbie Mackinlay at Lavington Panthers Oval
Thailand Development Officer for the Asian Cricket Council, Shan Kader, has spent time in the New South Wales Riverina during the past week to further develop his skills and knowledge of cricket in regional areas.
Shan has spent his time with Cricket NSW Riverina Development Manager Robbie Mackinlay, swapping stories and lessons learnt from their cricketing experiences. Despite already being a Level Three accredited coach and current coach of the U/19 Thailand team, Shan is continually learning during his international visit.
An accomplished left hand opening bat who represented the Thailand U19 side, Shan will attend coaching sessions in Wagga later this week.
Back in Thailand, which has about 5000 active cricketers who play the majority of their matches on turf wickets, Shan visits difference provinces spreading his cricket knowledge to schools and communities. The skills and knowledge he learns during this trip will be invaluable as he looks to continue to grow the game in Thailand.
During his visit, Shan has attended the 2012/13 First Grade Limited Overs Final at Bankstown Oval on Sunday (March 3), before planning to visit the Wagga Wagga District Cricket Association Schoolboy Finals later in the week.
