One of Cricket NSW's core objectives is to ensure that Australia's favourite sport has an impact at all levels of education.
Cricket NSW is committed to working in conjunction with teachers to help promote a healthy, active lifestyle amongst school-aged children through cricket. In addition, we aim to help up-skill teachers so they can carry on the development in their schools.

Cricket Blast Schools Cup
Boys and girls from Years Three to Six have the opportunity to experience cricket in a fun, safe and learning environment. The Year Three and Four events are focused on participation while the Year Five and Six divisions offer both competitive and non-competitive opportunities. The senior competitive division teams who win their local Final are invited to attend a regional final. Regional winners then progress to compete at the State Final, held in October each year.
Every State Champion will then have the opportunity to represent NSW at the National Finals on the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This is played in December each year.
School Ambassador Program
The MILO in2CRICKET School Ambassador program aims to identify and recognise a teacher in every Australian school who is committed to ensuring their students have every opportunity to get involved in cricket. The School Ambassador can be a principal, sports coordinator, classroom teacher, parent, guardian or grandparent.
The program aligns with the Australian Curriculum and provides ambassadors with resources, training, professional development and rewards.
Cricket NSW has entered into a partnership with four companies to further support the delivery of our programs in the school environment. These companies will be primarily focused on delivering the MILO in2CRICKET Skills program in schools across Sydney, Wollongong, Central Coast and Newcastle. These companies have experienced and highly trained staff that will ensure a fun and exciting session that is able to meet curriculum outcomes.

Sporting Schools Program
Kicking off in July 2015, the Sporting Schools program brings together schools and sports to help get Aussie children active in their local communities. Sporting Schools is open to all Australian primary schools, and with quality programs developed by 32 national sporting organisations, it will offer a fun and supportive environment for children and coaches.
Aligned to the Australian Curriculum, Cricket Smart helps students to grasp and retain knowledge using cricket as a teaching tool. Teachers have access to cricket themed lesson plans, including high quality tools and resources to enhance their students learning experience, such as short films starring some of Australia's best cricket players. Similarly, the Student Zone provides tools, resources and other materials for students to help complete tasks and activities.
