The Razorback Cricket Gala Day will be held this Friday the 19th March

This Friday the 19th March will see school children from the Wollondilly area participate in the annual Razorback Cricket Gala Day. The event will run from 9.30am – 2.30pm and will see students and teachers involved in a range of modified cricket activities and Super 8’s matches.

The aim of the event is to allow students who have not had a lot of experience in cricket or representing their school in sport to be involved in a fun and safe cricket gala day to improve their cricket skills but also to learn the basics of sportsmanship and teamwork. Teachers will also be up-skilled in their coaching and umpiring skills so they then can organise and run cricket programs at their respective schools.

The event will be run by Cricket NSW Development Staff with the assistance from Razorback South PSSA Convenor Peter Bunga (Picton PS) who has been the driving force behind the event for over 5 years.
